JMeter – Java Request Defaults

Use the JMeter ‘Java Request Defaults’ function to set the default parameters to be supplied to the Java Request. The Java Request Defaults configuration element has been added in the test plan. The Java request can be used to override parameter values.

How to add ‘Java Request Defaults’?

You can follow below steps to add Java Request Defaults

  1. Select the ‘Test Plan’ node
  2. Right-click on the ‘Test Plan’ node
  3. Hover the mouse on ‘Add’
  4. Hover the mouse on ‘Config Element
  5. 5. Click “Java Request Defaults” 

Input fields/Parameters

“Java Request Defaults” has below input fields or parameters:

Name: To provide element name

Comments: To provide arbitrary comments (if any)

Classname: It has two values either .JavaTest or .SleepTest.
